How to increase Internet Speed

The World Wide Web is the fastest and easiest way to get all types of information and multimedia, but if you are stuck with damm slow download speed then you are not getting the most out of the Internet connection. A fast computer will help a little, but there are several ways in which you can increase your browsing/download speeds without upgrading your computer. Read on if your Nets speeds are super low…. cause Ashish is to the rescue – Pa Pa rap pa pa

For the super speeds you always dream of, you will have to carry on the following steps-

1. speedupinternet2Pay More

Now if your data plan if for only 50 Kbps you cannot expect speeds reaching the sky. Before you want to increase your speeds, you have to get a better data plan, and plan which is a bit more costly but promises a higher bandwidth. Usually you dont get the super high speeds that are promised to you while you buy the plans, this post will deal with methods to actually get those promised speeds. For example many people get below 100 Kbps for a 1 Mbps plan. Now that really sickens me cause you get 10 times less than what you have actually paid for.

2. Check if your ISP is deliberately reducing your net speed

speedupinternet3 It will be a pity if your internet service provider is just reduces your net speed deliberatly. Now if you could know that they do this then you can file a complaint againt the ISP in the customer forum and then you can get a chance to enjoy free internet at high speeds for life 🙂

Yes, the consumer forum is like a court and its punishments have to be followed by the companies.

Now the question lies, how to actually know that your ISP is cheating on you??

Well the answer is simple, you will just have to go to this site- Link

I choose the flash video option cause thats the easiest. Ps. you will need Java installed on your system for this to work.

It will take about 5-8 mins max for the tests to finish then the results will be shown like this – speedupinternet5

this shows that my Internet connection is in tip top connection.

3. Keep check on programs that need net –

speedupinternet6 Dont let programs such as toolbars and frequesntly upgrading software eat up your net speeds… Yes i also wont like that.

Which softwares eat up your bandwidth

1. Windows Update- Dont let windows update silently as it may affect your browsing experience.

2. Toolbars like Google,Alexa and Babylon prefetch information that requires a part of your bandwidth.

3. Antivirus softwares that can be scheduled to update later on.

4. Other programs like messengers and whatever you install on your PC

4. Optimize Computer for better net speeds

speedupinternet7 Now the next step is to optimize your computer so that it can get the maximum speeds that you ISP provides.

TCP Optimizer– This handy little tool here optimizes your computer so that you can get higher and better speeds.

After you download the program(From the above link) you just need to set your preferences and select what type of connection you have and click “Apply Changes”

5. Download a download Manager

speedupinternet8A good download manager like IDM downloads the files in bits, downoading the file through various connections allowing the file to download at maximum speeds available to the computer-

For example this pic i have taken which download Ubuntu– the download is divided into 8 parts which can be appended after the file is downloaded automatically .

6. Increase you torrent downloads

If you wish to increase your torrent download then you must use bitcomet

Download now to see an increase in speed

7. For XP users this vedio is a must watch
